Our Dual Agent Automatic Fire Suppression System has been installed on a Komatsu WA475, providing essential fire protection for quarry operations in the aggregates industry.

How Fireward’s Dual Agent System Works

Our Dual Agent system utilises two suppression agents to provide comprehensive fire safety:

• Dry Powder rapidly knocks down flames and suppresses hidden fires in hard-to-reach areas.

• Wet Chemical cools superheated engine components, preventing reignition through strategically placed nozzles in the engine bay.

Fire Detection & Agent Release System

This system features an In-direct Release System, deploying suppression agents through nozzles for maximum coverage. It is activated by a Pneumatic Detection Tube, which bursts under high temperatures, releasing pressure in the cylinder and triggering the release of suppression agents through the strategically placed nozzles.

Additional Features

Manual Actuator – Allows manual activation of the system in an emergency.
Engine Shutdown – Automatically shuts down the engine to prevent further damage.
Battery Isolator – Cuts off the battery supply to reduce electrical fire risks.
In-Cab Monitor – Alerts the operator when a fire is detected and suppressed.
