Our Dual Agent and Clean Agent Automatic Fire Suppression Systems have been installed on a Liebherr LHM150 Mobile Crane, ensuring comprehensive fire protection for port operations. This system provides targeted protection for both engine components and electrical systems, minimising the risk of costly downtime.

How Fireward’s Dual and Clean Agent Systems Work

This installation features two specialised suppression systems designed for maximum fire safety:

Dual Agent System (Engine Bay Protection)

• Dry Powder rapidly knocks down flames and suppresses hidden fires in hard-to-reach areas.
• Wet Chemical cools superheated engine components, preventing reignition through strategically placed nozzles.

Clean Agent System (Electrical Component Protection)

• Novec 1230 Clean Agent suppresses fires without damaging sensitive electronics or leaving residue, ensuring continued functionality.

Fire Detection & Agent Release Systems

This system incorporates two activation methods tailored to each suppression type:

• Indirect Release System (Engine Bay) – Suppression agents are deployed through nozzles for maximum coverage.
• Direct Release System (Electrical Components) – A Pneumatic Detection Tube runs through the protected area, and when exposed to flames, it ruptures, releasing the Clean Agent directly at the fire source through the burn hole.

Additional Features

Battery Isolation – Cuts off the battery supply to reduce electrical fire risks.
Engine Shutdown – Automatically shuts down the engine to prevent further damage.
Manual Actuator – Allows manual activation of the system in an emergency.
In-Cab Monitor – Alerts the operator when a fire is detected and suppressed.
